The exhausted Utah Jazz and Memphis Grizzlies met up in Utah after playing on the back end of back-to-backs, and the Grizzlies won out 137-128. Utah, who rested Lauri Markkanen from a nagging groin injury, wasn’t able to keep up with the firepower of Santi Aldama and the Memphis Grizzlies. Aldama scored 37, shooting 7/13 […]

In the final game before the Christmas break and in a second half of a back-to-back, the Flyers went into Chicago and came away with a wire-to-wire 3-1 victory over the Blackhawks. At the tail end of a brutal condensed schedule where the Flyers played 10 games in 17 days, the Flyers now head into the holiday break with the second highest points percentage in the East.

It’s still a little weird seeing Karl-Anthony Towns in another team’s uniform. On the night before Christmas Eve, the Minnesota Timberwolves took on Towns and the New York Knicks in a game that was far less emotional than last year’s game between these two teams in Minnesota. Whether it was because Luka Dončić, Gabe Vincent and Rui Hachimura were out or because of a bigger issue, the Lakers were unable to make it much of a game against the Suns. Phoenix was in full control at the half, up by double figures and in the third, they broke the game wide open, […]

The first period of this game was a dump and chase drill. The teams combined to put ten shots on net (6-4 in favor of the Flyers). Philly’s second shot didn’t happen until 10:17 had come off the clock. Unfortunately, it went in. The Blackhawks had a 7-3 advantage in scoring chances in the first period at 5-on-5 , but were chasing one after one.
The Blackhawks and Flyers really made it feel like both teams have three days off after this game in the second period… until the Flyers amazingly...

The NBA must have expected this to be a lively game. For the New York Knicks’ (20*-9) visit to the Minnesota Timberwolves (20-10), the league enlisted an officiating crew of Josh Tiven, Sean Corbin, and Michael Smith.
