Sharks Extend Goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic

Maybe the best news for Sharks fans so far at this trade deadline wasn’t a trade at all but the announcement of a contract extension. The San Jose Sharks announced on Friday that Alex Nedeljkovic signed a two-year contract extension with a $3 million per season AAV. The deal would, presumably, keep the netminder in teal for the next two seasons, giving Yaroslav Askarov a veteran backup while the younger goaltender finds his way in the NHL. Update: According to Puckpedia, the first season ...

Flyers missed big opportunity to trade Christian Dvorak as rental

When Christian Dvorak was initially signed in the offseason to a one year, $5.4 million dollar deal, some eyebrows were raised. Over five million dollars for a player who has never hit 20 goals, and whose highest point total was 38, seemed a bit steep at the time.  But Daniel Briere and the front office were proved right in their evaluation when Dvorak came out of the gates on fire, serving as the Flyers de-facto 1C, and establishing a great connection with another new arrival in Tre...
