The Blackhawks los t again last night. The Bruins came in playing really well, and controlled most of the game even though the Hawks took a 2-0 lead in the first period. Where some of the Blackhawks’ problems have come in the last two games has been trying to do much. Jason Dickinson talked about maybe trying to do one thing too many too often. And his head coach agree that keeping things simple has worked — and the Hawks got away from that last night.

Despite scoring the first two goals of the game, the Blackhawks allowed five unanswered goals to fall 5-2 to the Bruins on Saturday night, losing their fourth straight home game.
The Blackhawks struck first at 16:14 of the opening period. Just seconds after a power play expired, Andre Burakovsky found Ryan Greene alone in the slot, and Greene snapped a wrist shot past Joonas Korpisalo to give Chicago a 1-0 lead.

Before the Blackhawks take on the Bruins on Saturday evening we saw one encouraging sign on the ice, but got some non-news that isn’t quite as exciting.
The encouraging news: Frank Nazar joined the team at the morning skate. I shot the video below of him taking some rushes with the boys. He was still in a non-contact jersey and wasn’t part of the lines; we didn’t expect him back yet. But head coach Jeff Blashill said he’ll fully practice with the team on Sunday.
Hey look at that! F...

The Chicago Blackhawks host the Boston Bruins on Saturday night, looking to reset their homestand after dropping three straight games at the United Center.
The Bruins have put together a decently strong season so far, sitting in a wild card spot with a .583 points percentage (27-19-2), which is no small feat considering they’re slogging through what is arguably the toughest division in hockey — one where every team is north of .500. They’ve been especially hot of late, going 7–2–1 in thei...

The Boston Bruins are trying to trade for Rasmus Andersson from the Calgary Flames , but it has been a struggle, and not just for them. Andersson hasn't exactly been keen on signing an extension thus far, but that might have recently changed. Jimmy Murphy reported, "Hearing through some source who said the Bruins were out on Andersson because of no extension, that Andersson changed his mind and he, the Bruins, and Flames, are 'on the same page now.'" A trade with an extension is going to cost ...

The San Jose Sharks continue this crazy road trip with a hop, skip and a jump to Detroit. The Sharks visit the Detroit Red Wings today for the second half of back-to-back games. Unfortunately for the Sharks, the Red Wings are well rested and angry. Detroit hasn’t played since Tuesday, when the team was shutout by the Boston Bruins 3-0 and outshot 41-24.
Detroit is doing well in the last ten games, so that loss had to hurt. It’s 6-3-1 in its last ten games and sits in second in the Atlanti...

There was a time, not so long ago, when the Minnesota Wild beat lousy hockey teams.
In the halcyon days of mid-December, the Wild traded for Quinn Hughes and looked like they could compete with the Dallas Stars and Colorado Avalanche in a seven-game series. They crushed the Boston Bruins 6-2,...

In order to keep pace with Arsenal and Manchester City in the Premier League title race, Aston Villa must bag all three points from the Sunday fixture at home to Everton. A draw would be a disappointing result and a loss, obviously, would be disastrous. Villa manager Unai Emery met the media earlier today, and […]

The New York Rangers may have hit rock bottom with that ugly 10-2 loss to the Boston Bruins last weekend, but they haven't been able to stop the bleeding yet. They're now winless in five straight, and have just one win in their last nine. They're edging closer and closer to official "SELL" territory (if they aren't there already). The biggest name, of course, that GM Chris Drury could move, is pending unrestricted free agent—and Rangers top scorer—Artemi Panarin. It doesn't appear as if ...

The New York Rangers season went from bad to worse last weekend as they let the Boston Bruins put up a 10-spot on them, and now, all the attention has turned to GM Chris Drury, and exactly how he's going to handle his roster. The Rangers are last in the Eastern Conference and there's no doubt some big moves are coming for the blue shirts. They've had some injury troubles this season, including goaltender Igor Shesterkin, but it's certainly a disappointing season to this point on Broadway, as m...
