The Big Ten released its schedule on Tuesday. The Illini received a favorable draw. Let’s have some fun with a way-too-early preview of the 2026 Illini football schedule. Non-Conference University of Alabama-Birmingham – September 5 Nick Saban disciple Alex Mortensen currently helms UAB. The former offensive coordinator has a sterling track record of producing high-powered […]
Mike McCarthy confirmed during his introductory press conference that he will assume play-calling duties for the Pittsburgh Steelers’ offense, signaling a notable shift in the team’s offensive structure under his leadership. McCarthy, who was officially introduced as the franchise’s new head coach, said he will be directly responsible for designing and running the offense. The […]
We have known for a while now, who Penn State’s 2026 Big Ten opponents will be. However, when exactly said B1G opponents would be played remained a mystery until now, when the conference revealed the dates of each of their games live on the Big Ten Network. Penn State’s 2026 schedule now officially reads as […]
After the late win against Stockport County at the beginning of January, things were looking rosy. Lewis Wing’s late winner in that game was the cherry on top of a very impressive festive-period cake. However, while we’ve seemingly managed to take that momentum into matters away from the pitch – acting bullishly in the market […]
Later tonight, Green Bay Packers quarterbacks coach Sean Mannion will be calling plays for the West team’s offense in the East-West Shrine Bowl, but he’s not the only Packers coach who is getting a coaching opportunity in the college all-star circuit this offseason. At the Senior Bowl, which started practices on Tuesday, Green Bay will […]
After nearly half a decade of watching ping pong balls and waiting for the draft to improve the roster, the San Antonio Spurs finally have a winning team. At 31-15, the Spurs are second in the Western Conference and on the fast track for a playoff spot. The NBA Draft is out of sight and […]
As Drake Maye was taken to the turf following a third quarter scramble in the AFC Championship Game, the quarterback landed hard on his right arm/shoulder. Two plays later, Maye connected on his best pass of the day as he hit Mack Hollins downfield off a flea flicker for a 31-yard gain. But between the […]
Oregon made a big splash earlier this month, nabbing themselves a Top 5 recruiting class loaded with 5-star talent. But this is modern College Football, and that’s only half the equation. After losing a fair amount of players to transfer, many to Tosh Lupoi down at Cal, the Ducks had some gaps to fill. And […]
The New York Giants are expected to hire Ravens defensive line coach Dennis Johnson for the same role on John Harbaugh’s new staff, per KPRC2’s Aaron Wilson. Johnson is the third confirmed coach to be leaving Baltimore to follow Harbaugh. Special teams coordinator Chris Horton and running backs coach Willie Taggart are also headed to […]
Piggybacking off of this Feed post from DJourn from earlier: Are y’all going to Braves Fest on Saturday? Granted, it’s forcasted to be absolutely brick cold in Cobb County on this coming Saturday but hey, it’s Braves Fest. We didn’t get it last year and it only comes once a year. I’m planning on going, […]
Well, this could be an interesting twist for the Arizona Cardinals head coaching search. Dianna Russini apparently had an in person interview with the Arizona Cardinals for their vacant head coaching position. I think this is a case where all of us as fans are wondering two things: For the Cardinals, Rivera is a longtime […]
It isn’t a matter of if Bill Belichick is a Hall of Famer.
The answer is obviously yes .
However, Belichick will not make it on the first ballot.
And, to me, that is absurd .
News from ESPN’s collection of newsbreakers:
Bill Belichick, the 8-time Super Bowl-winning HC, is not a first-ballot Hall of Famer, per @SethWickersham and @DVNJr . Belichick fell short of the 40 out of 50 votes needed for induction to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility...

The two discussed various topics, but eventually landed on the retention of Bobby Slowik […]
Purdue is on a two game Big Ten losing streak and that’s not something that fans expected at this point in the season. The Big Ten is very top heavy this year and Purdue is amongst those top teams but of late they certainly haven’t played like it. If you’d like to get a look […]
With lots of teams set to have more significant draft and more open-ended roster situations over the summer, it appears that this season’s Feb. 5 NBA trade deadline next week could be a bit more muted than it has been in years past.
Yes, Trae Young is already elsewhere (more on him later). But it seems quite possible that changes of scenery for other All-Stars like Giannis Antetokounmpo , Zion Williamson and Ja Morant could all happen over the summer or beyond. The league’s best clubs may...
