Rams cornerbacks eaten alive again

The L.A. Rams are lucky that their offense is so potent because their defense nearly cost them a win over the Detroit Lions and first place in the NFC. The Rams have now given up 82 points in the last three games alone and if it were not for the fact that the offense is […]

Baseball Book Christmas Present Suggestions?

There is little for Blue Jays news or even rumours at the moment. So I thought I’d ask for suggestions of baseball related books for Christmas. Or, for that matter, books of any sort. There is a book “The Last Manager: How Earl Weaver Tricked, Tormented, and Reinvented Baseball“ that I’d like to get for […]

Predators Rumors: Nashville On Hunt For Players Under 25

The Nashville Predators are on a clear path to rebuilding and tearing it all down, much like the Chicago Blackhawks did before getting lucky with Connor Bedard and what the San Jose Sharks did, trading or moving on from all of their old core and old regime. The Predators need this. Roman Josi, Filip Forsberg, and Juuse Saros are three great pieces to have, but the team hasn't been built well around them and they missed their shot at a Stanley Cup because the door slammed shut last offseason af...

Flyers’ 3 Stars of the Week: Trevor Zegras continues to shine

The Philadelphia Flyers walked through the quicksands of increasingly tough opponents last week and proceeded to do everything that they are known to do this season. Nothing major was figured out — there were no breakthroughs or discoveries that have us all giddy at the thought of going through more of this campaign. It was the Flyers trying to play Rick Tocchet-style low-event hockey against some of the NHL’s best teams and getting some loser points out of their efforts. A nice and tidy ...

Next up in our look back at the A’s players in 2025, we turn back to the rotation and look at the year with Jacob Lopez. Will 2026 be his year to break permanently into the starting rotation? How was he acquired? Jacob Lopez was originally drafted by the San Francisco Giants  in the 26th […]

Here’s How the Bears Can Punch Their Playoff Ticket THIS WEEK

A 10-win season is nice, but the Chicago Bears have bigger fish to fry. With just three games left, the Bears are on the cusp of making the playoffs for the first time since 2020. What needs to happen for them to clinch a playoff spot as soon as this week? Well, it is actually quite simple: The Bears can clinch their spot in the postseason in Week 16 if they beat the Packers and the Lions lose to the Steelers. — Courtney Cronin (@CourtneyRCronin) December 15, 2025 Bears co...

Connor Bedard Placed on IR (UPDATE), Blackhawks Recall Two from Rockford

The Blackhawks announced some roster moves before practice on Monday morning in Chicago. Connor Bedard  (upper body) was placed on injured reserve retroactive to Dec. 12. Defenseman Ethan Del Mastro was recalled from Rockford. Goaltender Laurent Brossoit was recalled from Rockford. After practice, Blackhawks head coach Jeff Blashill said Bedard “will be reevaluated after the New Year.” The Blackhawks have seven games between now and the end of the calendar year, an...

One storyline to watch in each MAC 2025 bowl game

Cue Andy Williams’ 1963 hit “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” because it currently applies, as Bowl Season is finally here. The 45-game bowl slate — including all College Football Playoff rounds — kicked off Saturday night in Los Angeles and continues through the national championship in mid-January. This year, the Mid-American Conference […]

Back in the L Column, Josh Giddey 200th Assist, Vucevic Losing Minutes, and Other Bulls Bullets

Despite what may feel like a repetitive pattern when it comes to the Chicago Bulls, here is one thing that is definitely new around these parts … Me! My name is Joshua Miranda, and I am one of the two new staff writers covering the Bulls for Bleacher Nation. You can read more about me and my professional history in my author bio (or just check in right here on the site every day). I hope we’re going to be good friends. Now that we’ve exchanged some pleasantries, let’s talk Bulls bask...

The Hurricanes Made the Playoffs – Now What?

It’s official: Miami is in the College Football Playoff. It still feels great, especially sneaking in past Notre Dame by outlasting the “eye-test” cynics as they advance to the sport’s biggest stage to face-off against Texas A&M at Kyle Field. For the first time in a long time, the Canes are sitting at the grown-ups’ […]

Pushing Back on the PCA Second-Half Concern and Other Cubs Bullets

Good morning and Happy Monday. Brett is still out sick, so you’ve got me for your Cubs coverage today. If you haven’t yet made your way to my META post , please do! We’ve got two new Bulls writers to welcome and some new features being rolled out on the Bears category page! Separately, I am extremely sad to hear of Rob Reiner’s tragic death this weekend. His run as a director from 1984-1992 is legendary (This is Spinal Tap, Stand By Me, The Princess Bride, When Harry Met Sally, Misery, A ...

Chicago Bears Week 15 Notes: Frozen Domination

It may have taken the first offensive drive to thaw out but from that point on, the Chicago Bears put together their most complete game of the season enroute to a 31-3 thumping of the Cleveland Browns at frozen Soldier Field. Here are my notes from the encouraging contest. Offense: Defense: Special Teams:

Kyle Pitts’s great game will heat up his 2026 market

In seasons circling the drains, big moments can be overlooked. When you’re consistently excellent, like Julio Jones and Matt Ryan used to be and Bijan Robinson is today, it takes something truly eyebrow-raising to merit special mention. When you dominate in primetime and you do so at a position where such dominance is rare, however, […]

Oilers Could Look At More Specific Additions Later In The Season

The Edmonton Oilers made moves trading out Stuart Skinner and Brett Kulak to bring in Tristan Jarry and Spencer Stastney. This addressed issues now and in the future, while also getting younger on the back-end for cheaper. The Oilers aren't done making moves, and while it makes sense to also move out Calvin Pickard now, more may be available at the trade deadline for Edmonton. David Pagnotta said, "I think they're going to explore adding later on in the season...from a defensive perspective, w...

REPORT: Phillies sign Adolis Garcia

With the Phillies in need of multiple outfielders for next season, they have reportedly come to terms with free agent Adolis Garcia, formerly of the Texas Rangers. The Cuban-born Garcia got a late start in MLB, playing his rookie season at age 28 in 2021. But he quickly acclimated, making the All-Star team that year, […]

Brandon Miller hit a three to send the game to overtime, and there the Charlotte Hornets were able to outlast the Cavaliers. The summary Sion James hit three early 3-pointers to give the Hornets an early lead. The team as a whole hit five threes from the right corner in a beautifully played first quarter.
