GM #71: Vegas Golden Knights @ Winnipeg Jets

Up until now, the Jets have stubbornly remained in the wildcard fight, routinely picking up at least one point ( only outright lost 4 of their past 16 contests ). Despite Winnipeg often adding points to their year total, they actually have only managed to move from the 5th worst record to the 7th. However, since there are 5 teams with 2 or less points ahead of them in the standings….our hockey team could significant diminish the value of their upcoming 1st round draft pick over the remainder o...

Sam Ersson’s struggles are hurting the Flyers more than fans realize

A whole lot has been made of the Philadelphia Flyers’ goaltending situation over the last few seasons. And while the team have been trying to develop a young Sam Ersson into someone capable of handling an NHL crease in any way possible, the evidence is truly growing to the conclusion that he’s not up to snuff. Potentially ruining the Flyers’ entire season might play a big part in it. The Flyers gave Ersson, what feels like now, a final chance this summer. They signed the older and more ex...

Game Day Updates: Red Wings vs. Senators

Hey folks, long time, no write. We’re back to the time of year that every game feels like life or death, so given the stakes, we decided to bring back some game day coverage for the home stretch. Here’s hoping it gives the team the boost it needs. There are no moral victories with what’s on the line, but Detroit’s coming off of one of its most impressive games of the season in terms of offensive chances — missing its captain, no less — on Saturday against Boston. They weren’t able to solv...

Goal prevention is becoming a big problem for the Penguins

If there was a glaring weakness for the 2025-26 Pittsburgh Penguins it was always going to be on defense and their ability to keep pucks out of their own net. When the season began Erik Karlsson had not yet turned things around, Kris Letang was another year older, nobody knew what to expect from Parker […]
