The last few weeks have been rife with a never-ending stream of Anthony Davis trade rumors. But there has not been real smoke until very recently, with real suitors and packages becoming apparent. This began with a Chris Haynes report, detailing that the Atlanta Hawks have a real interest in Anthony Davis. But what does […]
Throughout recent years, Lakers fans have learned to keep at least a little bit of attention on South Bay throughout the season. In some cases, it’s to watch a player like Bronny James develop in his time with the team. Other times, it was to see potential undrafted gems develop into potential role players for […]
Which Chicago Bulls are the “real” Chicago Bulls? On the one hand, Chicago has already put together a pair of five-game win streaks thanks to the second-fastest pace in the league (103.6) and a pass-happy pace-and-space offensive attack (their 29.5 assists per game rank fifth). On the other hand, the Bulls’ defense has been… porous. At its worst, Chicago has posted a seven-game losing skid that threatened to derail its season, falling to several lottery teams. Chicago’s 122.0 opponen...
If the Brooklyn Nets beat the Golden State Warriors Monday night, with or without Steph Curry flashing shots from half court or beyond, the Nets will have won eight games out of 10 in December and likely secured their reputation as one of the NBA’s best defensive teams. Going into the 7:30 p.m. ET contest […]

For the first time since his arrival in Los Angeles, LeBron James is not the leading vote-getter for the Lakers for the All-Star game. The NBA released the first returns for fan voting for the upcoming All-Star game in Los Angeles and Luka Dončić leads all players. LeBron James and Austin Reaves both are in […]
Tonight, the Los Angeles Kings will step into Ball Arena, a place where no visiting team has won in regulation so far this season. Pretty remarkable considering we are already 17 home games into the season. The Avalanche are winners of seven straight contests and will hope to push it to eight in what could […]
The All-Star break is fast approaching! Fan voting started just a few weeks ago, and now we have the first round of returns. As always, there are some surprises, some strange results, and some outright bad voting. Starting with the Eastern Conference, Milwaukee’s (?) Giannis Antetokounmpo leads the conference — which, in hindsight, is a […]
Although Alex Bregman is one of the most highly sought-after free agents this winter, his market has been fairly narrow and well-defined for a while now. And yet, lately, the specifics have begun to evolve. A few weeks ago, Bregman’s market was pretty unanimously boiled down to three teams: (1) The Cubs, who made him an offer last offseason, (2) the Tigers, who made him an offer last offseason, and (3) the incumbent Red Sox, who signed him last offseason. Today, that looks a little differ...
Jaylen Brown received the 6th-most All-Star fan votes in the Eastern Conference, per the NBA’s first returns, released Monday. The Portland Trail Blazers look to win a second consecutive game in a Monday night matchup with the Dallas Mavericks. The two teams enter Moda Center with similar records, but Portland has fared much better against stiffer Western Conference competition. The Trail Blazers in-conference record is 10-12 while Dallas sits at 6-15. The Mavericks have […]

For the second game in a row, the New York (K)nicks* will face off against an inferior opponent that is not only having a rough year, but also going through a tough stretch. The New Orleans Pelicans’ three-game losing streak may not be as bad as the five-game losing streak that the Atlanta Hawks carried […]
Welcome to the Week in Review: a Monday feature that looks back at the week that was for the San Antonio Spurs, takes a look at the week ahead, and more. Enjoy! Week 9: After losing to the Knicks in a Cup Finals game that doesn’t count in the standings, the Spurs swept an easy schedule […]
Let’s scan the lines in search of value as the Dallas Mavericks hit the road, having lost four of their last five, with any talk of a steady climb back toward .500 quietly shelved — possibly for a good long while. Dallas is banged up, directionless, and stuck in that uncomfortable middle ground where wins […]
Clay Allen, the NBA team's general counsel, is one of the most powerful out executives in pro sports. He credits his twin brother with showing how a successful coming out can happen. Happy Monday everyone! It is Dec.. 29, 2025 and we have just three more days left until we ring in 2026. With that in mind, let’s talk about how this could relate to the Washington Wizards specifically. I’ll have a different post for the Mystics. Calendar years don’t perfectly align with NBA seasons. After all, […]
This is a little late, folks. If the delay has caused you to not properly plan your Knicks-related TV-watching time, forgive me. I can relate to the struggle for the living room’s boob tube. ESPN.com sets the odds of me watching an entire day’s worth of the Twilight Zone marathon at 26%. Monday, Dec 29 […]
The Celtics definitely weren't focused on winning this game. They see a team under .500 and missing 7 players and they think they can win just by showing up. Then it snowballs down hill from there. Loved that there were a lot of Celtics fans in the building. So much focus on Jaylen's hairline. 20 turnovers, 29% from 3, and only 19 assists. Definitely no focus there. Hopefully they got it out of their systems and will come back strong against Utah...
