This is a continuation from part 1 which you can find here. Dallas Mavericks Simons and a smaller contract (like Chris Boucher) almost works with Daniel Gafford and Klay Thompson. Here again, in theory the money could work if you rerouted a small salary elsewhere. The Celtics would get a quality big man and while […]
Homer Ozzie & The Straw asks: Should I go to the game on Saturday? And if I do, who should I drag with me? I think it’ll be a little too cold for the kids to enjoy it. Marge will go if I push but she won’t be dying to do it for sure. If […]

Whether or not you’re personally observing a Black Friday boycott this year, Craig Breslow has some shopping to do. We’ve already seen him wheeling and dealing, trying to make the moves we need to get past the first round of the 2026 postseason. Thanksgiving was late this year, so that means the holiday shopping season […]
Baseball is kind of bizarre, if you try to explain it to someone who doesn’t follow it. There’s literally the concept of moving current assets for presumed future assets, in a sport that is about trying to win individual contests with a combination of talent, execution, strategy, and tactics. I dunno, it’s weird. Well, in […]
BOSTON — Celtics rookie center Amari Williams appeared destined for a full season in the G League. Then, in one of the biggest games of the year thus far, he was suddently tasked with slowing down Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren, playing substantial rotation minutes, and helping securing the game-saving rebound. On Wednesday, the Celtics […]
Stability has been the name of the game along the New England Patriots offensive line for much of the season. However, last week’s 26-20 win over the Cincinnati Bengals put an end to it: the team lost its entire left side to injury, with tackle Will Campbell suffering a sprained MCL and guard Jared Wilson […]
Welcome to Black Friday, folks! Hope you had a good Thanksgiving/Thursday. Sorry about the lack of official preview for today’s game, but Thanksgiving Night got away from me a bit. Here are your basics: The Rangers haven’t had the best start to the season, as they sit at the bottom of the Metropolitan Division with […]
The Hot Stove is heating up, and the St. Louis Cardinals have already been plenty active as the calendar prepares to flip to December. Sonny Gray has already been traded to Boston, and more deals are on the horizon as the new President of Baseball Operations, Chaim Bloom, continues to re-imagine this roster and replenish […]
Poise has been a common word to describe Drake Maye through his second NFL season. New York Giants Pro Bowl pass rusher Brian Burns agrees, but ahead of a Monday night matchup against Maye and the Patriots, Burns thinks the young quarterback can almost be “too poised” at times. “He’s talented, talented arm. I’m not […]
After 12 weeks of football, the New England Patriots are close to their bye week. There is one hurdle left to clear: the New York Giants, who will visit them at Gillette Stadium on Monday night. A lot has happened for both teams since they met in preseason in August. So, to find out more […]
The New England Patriots are hoping that they will get injured left tackle Will Campbell back in time for the NFL playoffs. Until his return, however, they are making sure to keep him busy. As head coach Mike Vrabel explained earlier this week, he has a clear vision for the rookie while on injured reserve. […]

Happy Thanksgiving, now let’s get a win.
The New England Patriots spent Thanksgiving away from the practice fields. But based on Wednesday’s attendance, six members of the active roster would not have been available for Thursday’s New York Giants prep. Tight end C.J. Dippre, offensive linemen Morgan Moses and Jared Wilson, linebackers Harold Landry III and Jahlani Tavai, as well as core […]

The holidays are officially upon us, and that means we have football happening all over the place this week. It all starts with today’s slate of games of Thanksgiving, then an offering tomorrow for Black Friday, and finally capped off with contests on Sunday and Monday. As we have done in past seasons, our staff […]
Great game and win from the Celtics. It always amazes me when fans turn on their own players. They were all puffed up to begin the game but hated on every player, including Cade, at the end. I love Payton Pritchard. The kid plays so hard. Shortest guy on the court got that last rebound after the missed free throw. Opinion was mixed on the Celtics' court. Some hated it and some loved it. Poor Jaylen wiill never live that hairline gaff down. The "C...
The Toronto Maple Leafs didn't appear to like the game that Brandon Carlo played once he got to the team and finished out the season. He was a trade deadline acquisition from the Boston Bruins and they overpaid considering how the other side has turned out for Boston and how the Maple Leafs aren't happy with the result on their end. This led to the Maple Leafs attempting to trade Carlo in multiple different ways in the offseason. According to Nick Kypreos, "There's a strong suggestion Toronto ...

It’s Thanksgiving, at least among some of the lesser hockey countries. So today, I’m going to list a reason that I’m thankful for each NHL team. That’s it. No gimmicks, or clever twists. I promise I’m not even going to do the “Thanks for reminding us it could always be worse” backhanded compliment thing to anyone. Just one sincere, if slightly bizarre, reason to say a quick thanks to every team. >> Read the full post at The Athletic (Want to read this post on The Athletic for free? Sign u...
