The Philadelphia Flyers are bringing in some more young players to go along for the ride in the playoffs and now it’s a fairly divisive prospect who is going to be joining the team.
Announced by the Flyers on Wednesday morning, they have officially recalled center prospect Jett Luchanko from the OHL’s Brantford Bulldogs.

(21-13) Gwinnett Stripers 5, (13-21) Norfolk Tide 3 Box Score Other than running into some trouble in the sixth inning, it was a really strong pitching performance by Elieser Hernández who mixed his pitches pretty well, but was especially strong with his four-seam that he utilized over 50% of the time. Because he was able […]

Why Jake DeBrusk is not a solution for the Edmonton Oilers For nearly half a decade, trade speculation has linked the Edmonton Oilers to Jake DeBrusk. After he signed long-term with the Canucks in 2024, however, that discussion died down. A recent article on CanucksArmy reignited the conversation about Edmonton as a potential landing spot,…
Worcester: W, 7-6 (BOX SCORE) The WooSox enjoyed an early home run from Mickey Gasper, his fifth on the year, but the good feelings didn’t last for too long against the Rail Riders (Yankees AAA). As referenced earlier, the WooSox are going to be pre-cautiously switching out their pitchers to rest arms in case the […]
The NCAA transfer portal is officially closed, so what we can say for certain is that should not see any UNC players that were on the 2025-26 roster leave Chapel Hill moving forward. As for incoming transfers and empty roster spots, that’s a whole other story. Michael Malone is still piecing together his frontcourt via […]
It’s the dregs of the Seattle Seahawks offseason. We’re twiddling our thumbs, biding our time, and checking our watches until the next interesting thing happens. In all likelihood, we’re looking at mid-May for the preseason and regular season schedule release, so it won’t be too agonizing a wait. In the meantime, let’s have a fun […]
It took one extra inning to get there, but ultimately, the result was the same. The Cubs have now won seven straight and 13 in a row at home. They’ve won 17 of 20. The team is scorching hot. For my point of reference, I’m going to say this. When a team digs itself an […]
Arbitrary endpoints in baseball are fun. If you want to make the case for something, it’s usually not hard to do it if you get to pick the start and end dates, which is exactly what’s about to happen here. Since April 23, Carson Benge has hitting much better than he had from Opening Day […]
When Spencer Strider was nearing his return to the major league roster which he made on Sunday, Braves manager Walt Weiss told reporters that Martín Pérez was going to be moving to the bullpen. He was never used in that capacity, however, and will now instead be starting again for Atlanta’s Wednesday afternoon series finale […]

Over the last few months, countless mock drafts have competed for our eyeballs and our clicks, and we’ve reviewed and summarized more mock drafts here on Blogging The Boys than I care to admit. And all that pre-draft jibber-jabber is well and good – until you’re held accountable for the accuracy of your predictions, which […]

So, I was listening to a recent episode of the Domonique Foxworth podcast, and he had football analyst Ben Solak on the show. During the conversation, Solak said something that really made me think: In short, Solak said that the real test of a team’s championship depth is evaluating the quality of the 3rd best […]
Yesterday, TGP’s own Joe Edinger wrote about how the Phillies fared through the first month of the ABS system. You can (and should!) get the big picture from reading his article. But today I’d like to look at the smaller picture. What were the best and worst ABS challenges from Phillies through the first month? […]
Shortly before the 2024 football season began, the Mountain West was turned upside down when Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, San Diego State, and later Utah State announced they were leaving the conference for the new Pac-12 conference. This led to somewhat of an arms race out west, as both conferences were incomplete and […]
Earlier this morning we recapped some Syracuse schedule news, but there was a piece in there that I wanted to expand on. Pete Corasaniti shared that the Orange plan to play three road exhibtion games next Fall in an attempt to maximize revenue for the program. We know that one game will be against Niagara […]
On Tuesday, the Washington Mystics waived Christeen Iwuala, Nyla Harris and Madison Scott, which gets the team closer to the 12 player roster for opening day. The Mystics can also have two additional players on developmental contracts who don’t play games. But developmental contract players can practice with the team and get paid extra if […]
A detailed scouting report on RSL ahead of FC Dallas’ 2026 showdown, breaking down formations, key players, tendencies, and tactical edges.
There is no such thing as a Joel Embiid stopper. That feels like a decent place to start, because if the Celtics spend the summer trying to find one, they’ll be chasing the wrong thing. Embiid is a former MVP for a reason. When he’s healthy, comfortable and getting to his spots, there are only […]
