A tightly played game through the regulation frame, with a bit of physical engagement already built in, the overtime period brought things to a completely new level. With two disallowed goals and frustration mounting, a bit of chippiness tacked on at the end of the period boiled over into something truly chaotic.

Travis Konency scored his second goal of the season tonight against the Penguins, and it was a milestone goal as it was the 200th of his career as a Flyer. Konecny, who became the seventeenth Flyer to hit that achievement, scored the tally early in the second on a nice shot that beat Penguins goalie Arturs Silovs clean and low on the stick side.
