Darnell Nurse has added a new team to the short list of destinations he would accept a trade to, and it is a contender. David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period reported during the second day of the 2026 NHL Draft that the Boston Bruins have been added to Nurse's approved trade list.
"More on Nurse: As we know, Pittsburgh, LA and Philly are in his trade list," Pagnotta posted on X. "You can add Boston to his list, as well."
That makes Boston the fourth known team Nurse is willing to waive his n...

An interesting draft overall for the Boston Bruins, who traded away their first-round pick and selected a pair of goaltenders, including a Russian goalie Yuri Ivanov with their second-round pick (56th overall) that represented their highest pick in the draft. There was another goalie (Roberto Henriquez) taken in the sixth round out of the USHL, but also a Russian forward Matvei Kotkov in the fourth round (104th overall) and a Swedish forward Oscar Olsson (122nd overall) along with a D-man Jaco...

In the middle of all that Draft chaos, we almost forgot that a trade happened! The Bruins announced that they have traded Forward Prospect Fabian Lysell to the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for Prospect Ivan Ivan. The trade is one for one. The Bruins acquired Lysell in the 2021 NHL Draft as a first round […]
The final pick is in! Cullen McCrate comes to us from the USHL’s Fargo Force, though like many USHL guys the Bruins draft, he will be going to College Hockey this fall; headed to Michigan State. McCrate wasn’t really ranked by anybody but hey, he’s a 7th rounder anyway. It’s all the more reason for […]
In the 2026 Calder Cup Playoffs, Ivan ranked 2nd for Eagles in points. In exchange, they receive a dynamic skater and playmaker.

A Dominican-Slovakian, huh? Henriquez comes to us from the USHL, though he is heading to Boston College this fall. His story absolutely rules; he chose to pick up goaltending in Middle School, and promptly just sort of stayed good at it throughout his career, only really stumbling in his first year in a new system […]

The Boston Bruins and Colorado Avalanche have swung a deal on Day 2 of the NHL Entry Draft, with a one-for-one player trade. I mean sure let’s just get crazy why not, right The Bruins have selected GOJHL defender Jacob Vandeven, who is set to play for the London Knights next year. Vandeven is 6’6, 207 pounds, and while he is extremely raw, he has some solid skating skills and decent passing. That said, anything else I might […]
The Edmonton Oilers continue exploring the trade market for Darnell Nurse after the longtime defenseman requested a move earlier this month. While The Fourth Period’s David Pagnotta has reported that he has four teams on his trade list — the Pittsburgh Penguins, Philadelphia Flyers, Boston Bruins and Los Angeles Kings — another club has emerged […]

A real europe heavy draft for the Black and Gold, huh? The Bruins traded down with Pittsburgh for this pick, and got winger Oscar Olsson from Örebro HK’s system. He is 6’4, 187 pounds, and shoots left. He played primarily in the U20 Nationell for Örebro; being a cromulent if unspectacular point getter noteworthy for […]
From Russia with love, the Bruins select a winger from the Lokomotiv program! Kotkov stands at 6’0, 183 pounds and plays for Lokomotiv’s MHL team; Loko. He was a pretty solid player in both his 2024 and 2025 seasons; being nearly a point per game in both years. Kotkov is noted for his speed and […]
If you wanted some scoring upside, the Bruins have you covered with their 3rd overall pick, Nils Bartholdsson! Bartholdsson, who plays for Rögle BK in the SHL and U20 Nationell, is 5’11 and 179 pounds, shooting right. He’s distinguished himself as a slightly over a point per game sniper with Rögle’s U20 team, though only […]
Alright I’ve got a lot of catchup to do so let’s get after it. The Bruins used their 2nd round selection on a goaltender! This one a Russian-born netminder from the Spartak Moscow club who is 6’2, 165 pounds, and had a damn solid year with their VHL team; finishing with a 13-3-1 record, a […]
