The Blackhawks played in Washington on Saturday evening and flew home to face the Vegas Golden Knights. Chicago has been terrible in the second half of back-to-backs this year. They’ll need to change the scripts against a good Vegas team.
But… Vegas comes into this one banged up on the back end and with questions about their goaltending. The Golden Knights have lost three straight and are 3-5-2 in their last 10 games. The Blackhawks will have a good shot tonight.

Fresh off their second win in a row, the Blackhawks are back in action on Sunday night, hosting the Vegas Golden Knights at the United Center.
These two teams met in Vegas one month ago, with the Hawks unable to hold on to a late lead before ultimately losing 4-3 in the shootout . That win was part of a hot stretch for VGK, which won six of seven in late November and early December. But it’s been all downhill since, with the Knights losing seven of their last eight games, including a 4-3 ...

The Blackhawks had a good nice in our nation’s capital last night, beating the Washington Capitals 3-2 in a (lengthy) shootout . With the win, the Hawks are now 3-1-1 in their last five games (three of which required a skills competition). And the Blackhawks remain undefeated in 2026.
But the Vegas Golden Knights were in Chicago for a Saturday practice and comfortable dinner. We know the Blackhawks have been bad in the second half of back-to-backs this season. Let’s see if they can put so...

Chicago couldn’t hang on to a third-period lead but picked up a second point via the shootout, defeating the Capitals 3-2 in Washington on Saturday night.
Chicago took an early 1-0 lead just 73 seconds into the game when Ryan Donato was left all alone in front of the Washington net to tip home a point shot from Ilya Mikheyev:

After a big home win to start the new year against Dallas at the United Center, the Blackhawks start a tough weekend back-to-back in Washington against Alex Ovechkin and the Capitals. The Caps come in just 3-6-1 in their last 10 games and in fourth place in the Atlantic Division, but they have the best goal differential (plus-15) in the division. Go figure.
We’ll see if the Blackhawks can bring the same formula they employed against the Stars into this game and stay warm in the new calend...

The Blackhawks kick off a pair of weekend games with a stop in the nation’s capital on Saturday night, as they’re in DC to face the Washington Capitals.
The last time Chicago was in Washington for a game, it narrowly avoided becoming a part of league history, as Alex Ovechkin only tied Wayne Gretzky’s career mark for goals scored during a 5-3 Capitals win . A season down the road, Ovechkin continues defying Father Time with 34 points (15 G, 19 A) in 41 games this season despite turning 40...

On January 1st in 2009, the Detroit Red Wings played the Chicago Blackhawks in the NHL's outdoor Winter Classic at Wrigley Field. In a city famous for crime and corruption, I suppose it's not surprising that Chicago afternoon ended cloaked in controversy.

The Blackhawks picked up their second win over the Dallas Stars in less than a week, knocking off their Central Division foes 4-3 at the United Center on Thursday night.
Chicago scored first at the 11:48 mark of the first when Arytom Levshunov capped a period of sustained offensive pressure during a power play:

Chicago Blackhawks head coach Jeff Blashill thinks Hockey Canada made a huge mistake leaving off Connor Bedard from the recently announced roster. Blashill came to the defense of his star player, who is currently on the IR with a shoulder injury. Blashill feels Bedard can help Canada win a gold medal, and be a huge reason for their success, much like he's seen in Chicago this season. I have a ton of respect for how hard these decisions are. Honestly, Canada, the U.S., Sweden, you h...

For the second time in six days, the Blackhawks and Stars have a hockey date arranged, with Thursday’s events shifting venues to the United Center.
Chicago won that prior meeting 4-3 with the aid of the shootout , with rookie Nick Lardis providing the winning tally during the final gimmick portion of the game to give the Hawks’ a much-needed pair of points, as that was one of Chicago’s three victories in the month of December and only win in the last nine games.

The Chicago Blackhawks erased a two-goal deficit after the first to earn a point, but ultimately fell 3-2 in a shootout to the New York Islanders on Tuesday night.
The Islanders opened the scoring less than three minutes into the game. After forcing a turnover, Simon Holmstrom dropped a centering pass to Calum Ritchie, who snapped a wrister past Spencer Knight to give New York an early 1-0 lead.

So, the Blackhawks came out of the Christmas break with a thrilling win in Dallas and a dull thud at home against the Pittsburgh Penguins. That’s kinda the way things have gone this season, isn’t it?
The good news for tonight is Nick Foligno is healthy and in the lineup and Ilya Mikheyev also returns from his absence to be with his family. We’re getting closer to a full Blackhawks lineup. The Blackhawks held only an optional morning skate today, so these are the new lines we saw at practi...

The Chicago Blackhawks close out the 2025 calendar year on home ice Tuesday night, hosting the New York Islanders as they look to finish the year on a stronger note.
The Islanders come into this one sitting third in the Metropolitan Division by points percentage (.590), a spot that looks solid on paper but hardly comfortable in practice thanks to a crowded playoff picture. The Florida Panthers and Buffalo Sabres are right on their heels — the latter of which is on a nine-game winning stea...
