Recap of the game.

Chelsea and Arsenal meet for the fourth time this season, with the Blues still looking for our first win over the Premier League leaders. The Utah Jazz successfully lose yet another must-lose tank-off game vs the New Orleans Pelicans, with the final score of 105-115. The Pelicans have nothing to lose since their pick goes to the Atlanta Hawks this year, but with this loss, the Utah Jazz and Pelicans are now tied for the 5th-best odds in landing […]
Spencer Strider looked pretty good on Saturday, even if he didn’t necessarily look like the Spencer Strider that we have been used to. His pitches looked good in terms of shape and he threw them for strikes. His velocity was sitting lower-90s though, so it will be worth monitoring whether that is a new normal […]
MLB.com | Bryan Hoch: Brian Cashman spoke to reporters before yesterday’s game against the Blue Jays, and he reiterated his belief in this team, stating that they’re “capable of great things.” He pointed to the electrifying stuff many of their pitchers have shown early in camp, from Ryan Weathers touching 99.8 mph, to young prospects […]
On a lovely Saturday afternoon, the Tigers settled in for their final two games of the Mizzou Invitational — below-freezing temps canceled the Sunday matchup — hopefully letting the offense fly and the pitching do its thing. Well, friends, for the second day in a row, as was the case for the first game. The […]
For about 20 minutes on Saturday night, it looked like the Virginia Tech Hokies would come away with a big-time Quad 1 win against the No. 18 North Carolina Tar Heels in Chapel Hill. The ACC rivals went into halftime tied at 44, but the Hokies got behind early in the second half and never […]

After every Leafs game, we try our best to write a detailed review recapping the game’s events and providing insight into individual performances, storylines, and other notes beyond the boxscore. Tonight, there is no point in any of it. This was as unprofessional a performance as you’ll see in the NHL from the Maple Leafs. […]

Craig Berube addressed the media after his team’s 5-2 loss to the Ottawa Senators, which dropped the Maple Leafs’ record to 27-24-9. On whether the team has quit: No, I don’t believe that. I don’t worry about that. On how the players can manufacture more pride in their game: When I look at the game […]

Despite grabbing the early lead and keeping the Colorado Avalanche at bay for most of the first 40 minutes — well, Spencer Knight did, anyway — the Chicago Blackhawks couldn’t hold on forever, falling 3-1 on Saturday night in Denver.
The Blackhawks struck first at 6:31 of the first period as Connor Bedard corralled Tyler Bertuzzi’s centering feed and snapped a heavy wrist shot for a power-play goal and a 1-0 lead.

There was so much uncertainty about how St. John’s would respond to their unspeakably awful 72-40 loss to UConn in the lead-up to Saturday’s game against Villanova. By the end of the night, it appeared like the result was always inevitable. As he always seems to pull off following a terrible loss, Rick Pitino worked […]

Arizona softball continued its powerful ways at the Hillenbrand Invitational on Saturday afternoon. It just wasn’t always from the typical places. Senior shortstop Tayler Biehl and sophomore left fielder Addison Sheppard hit three of the Wildcats’ four home runs to power the host team to a 9-0 victory over the Howard Bison in five innings. […]
FC Dallas and Nashville SC played to a 0-0 draw at Toyota Stadium in a match short on chances, short on shots, and short on late drama despite a red card to Matthew Corcoran.
The Spartans managed to survive a very odd weekend and come out with 2 points. The team looked sluggish, sloppy and filled with mental errors. They struggled with puck control and just didn’t seem themselves. They now sit 3 points away from a three peat as they head to Minnesota to close the regular season. […]
After losing to Boston College in of the worst losses of the Forbes era, there was really only 2 ways things were going to go: the team was either going to fold and fall apart, or use that game as motivation and bounce back. Thankfully, we got the latter—the Deacs put together one of their […]
UNC remained undefeated in Chapel Hill this season with an 89-82 win over Virginia Tech Saturday night. The Hokies kept things close before Carolina was able to put them away late for the Tar Heels’ third straight win. The game was tied 44-44 at halftime with both teams shooting better than 50% from the field […]
It’s been a big week here at Purple Row. We finished our PuRPs ranking. (Big shoutout to Jeff Aberle for that one!) The World Baseball Classic is just around the corner. And the Colorado Rockies actually have a winning record, including a few double-digit wins. (I know: Spring training results mean nothing, but I feel […]
