This year, I’m hoping that we can keep weekly tabs on the UNC women’s basketball team just like we do in the spring with the Diamond Heels. Their season started on Monday just as with the men’s team, but much earlier in the day, as their game against NC Central was part of the early […]
Today I ended up having a bit of time to explore how some of the Winnipeg Jets’ prospects are doing early in their seasons. Since I figured I would let the players in the American Hockey League with the Manitoba Moose play some more games before I attempted to see how they were doing…that left me with the young men suiting up outside of the minor leagues. These include a lot of the True North franchise’s most recently drafted players, including 2025 1st rounder Sascha Boumedienne and other pro...

On Thursday, head coach Mark Pope revealed that Quaintance is now taking part in 5-on-0 work during practice. ”He’s unbelievable,“ Pope said of Quaintance. He’s been increasingly ahead of schedule, and he’s now jumping […]

I trust the preparation. I trust practice…As soon as we leave […]
The Orioles announced their 2026 season schedule for promotions and giveaway items on Thursday afternoon. This is getting a much earlier start on the schedule compared to what the team has done recently. Each of the last two seasons, they did not do the announcement until January. The initial announcement about these items and dates […]
Well, it didn’t take long after declining Tyler Kinley’s option for the Braves to go ahead and do the same thing to Pierce Johnson. Like Kinley, Johnson was also acquired from the Rockies in a Trade Deadline deal, back in 2023. He was lights out after the trade (17/66/48 ERA-/FIP-/xFIP-), and because he checked a […]
Last week ATS: 5-9 (4-4 National, 1-5 B1G) Season ATS: 86-86 (37-44 National, 49-42 B1G) Last week wasn’t my finest set of picks, as I went 5-9 to drop to .500 on the season. I should have known my week was going to be cooked when Georgia had a chance to score late in the […]
Do you think Billy Donovan keeps checking the Eastern Conference standings just to make sure it’s real? I know I do! The Chicago Bulls have started the season 5-0 at home! While I am not as obsessed with “home court advantage” as Arturas Karnisovas, I think we can all agree that you’re supposed to play better in your own building. For whatever reason, the Bulls have been awful at that over the past few years. They have finished below .500 at the United Center in each of the last two sea...

What went right for Rutgers in their first game: The dynamic duo of Jamichael Davis and Tariq Francis being on the floor together really sparked the offense early and often with their speed. Both have lightning-fast speed and automatic scoring and play-making ability. It reminds me of what Geo Baker and Jacob Young did together […]

Traveling to the Coliseum to face 6-2 USC, Northwestern will meet a storied program for the first […]
Over the first handful of games, the San Antonio Spurs have set out to make a statement. Prior to last night’s loss to the Lakers, they sat at 12th in defensive rating, 12th in net rating, and, perhaps surprisingly, 11th in offensive rating (all adjusted for strength of schedule per dunksandthrees.com). While much of that […]

Much has been made about the lack of trades ahead of the deadline for the San Francisco 49ers. Both sides have arguments.
