Rays part with 7 players, add 7 at 2025 Rule 5 deadline

As expected, the Rays had a busy day on Tuesday ahead of the Rule 5 roster deadline. Here’s the full list, which we will get into one at a time. The Tampa Bay Rays have made the following roster moves today: – Designated OF Jake Fraley and OF Christopher Morel for assignment. – Acquired RHP […]

Canadiens Could Be Showcasing Goalie For Trade

The Montreal Canadiens are strong at the goalie position as they have Sam Montembeault and Jakub Dobes on the roster, as well as top prospect Jacob Fowler, Kaapo Kahkonen in the AHL, and several other goalie prospects doing well. While Dobes has clearly been the better goalie, Montembeault is still starting more games. David Pagnotta said, "They've kept going back to Montembeault. Either they're trying to get him going...or they're trying to...say hey...we have two decent goalies, we'll listen...

Time to draft another Maxx Crosby

The Las Vegas Raiders are in the midst of another disappointing season and the attention will turn to the 20206 offseeason and the draft in less than two months. While the Raiders will have a lot of needs, starting at quarterback, a focus of roster improvement most be on defense. The Raiders simply don’t have […]

2026 Browns Mock Draft: Cleveland finds their QB, revamps the OL

Heading into the 2025 season, there was at least some semblance of hope that things would look “okay” with one of Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel, or Shedeur Sanders at the helm, but that unfortunately hasn’t come to fruition. This underwhelming season has been productive in one area, though, and that’s figuring out what the team […]

Rams roster: How it sets up for 2026

Fans of the Los Angeles Rams can take a couple of days to bask in the the sunshine atop the NFC West and the afterglow of knocking off their two top competitors (Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers) in successive weeks. Before taking off the shades and picking up the lounge chair to get ready […]

Luis Torrens delivered with men on the I.L. and men on base in 2025

Luis Torrens didn’t win a Gold Glove Award in 2025, but the thought of him even being named a finalist would have been preposterous at the start of spring training. After all, Torrens had only once played enough games to qualify for the award, and that was way back in 2021 with the Mariners. He […]

The Washington Nationals Should Heavily Consider A CJ Abrams Trade

The Nationals are open for business this offseason and are receiving calls for all their top stars, with MacKenzie Gore and CJ Abrams generating the most trade buzz. While a good number of Nats fans have come around on the idea of trading Gore, who is a free agent after the 2027 MLB season, many […]

Cubs free agent target: Tatsuya Imai

Josh already wrote about the Japanese star here last week, but I wanted to post my thoughts, especially after Shōta Imanaga accepted the qualifying offer Tuesday. Many of you think that’s it for the Cubs, that they aren’t going to go after another free agent starter such as Dylan Cease, Michael King or Tatsuya Imai, […]

The Flyers’ under the radar Olympic lock

Heading into this season, there were a lot of prospective debates happening around which Flyers will be called up for their country to represent them at the Milano-Cortina Olympic games. Names like Travis Konecny and Travis Sanheim, who were selected for their respective countries at the Four Nations Face-Off,  immediately come to mind as the prime names that would be discussed as the Flyers most senior, best players.  But while those players will try to break into teams that ha...

Oklahoma Sooners Preview

I’m not going to try to change your mind on anything about this game. If you’re riding high and think Mizzou can upset Oklahoma on the road, be my guest, love your energy. If you are a firm believer that the Tigers are going to get piledriven into the turf for 60 minutes, yeah, that’s […]

BTB Wednesday Discussion: Do you actually have hope for the playoffs?

The Dallas Cowboys won on Monday night. Winning is a wonderful emotion. It marked the first Cowboys win in some time (the previous instance was the one against the Washington Commanders), and despite everything that has happened since, you can’t help but mention the p-word. Playoffs. The Cowboys have a lot of ground to make […]
