It’s been quite the few days for the Chicago Bears. After an all-time thriller on Saturday night resulted in an improbable victory over the rival Packers, Ben Johnson’s team benefitted from another bizarre ending Sunday afternoon as the Pittsburgh Steelers managed to *narrowly* hold on for a victory over the Detroit Lions that clinched a […]

Jahdae Walker’s first NFL regular-season touchdown was an all-timer.
Uncovered in the end zone because of a busted coverage, Walker’s fourth-down reception provided the equalizing score in a wild Bears-Packers game that helped bring new life to an old rivalry. I just can’t get enough of this moment:

So, I guess this one is more like a 35-hour rule, but that’s ok. After the Bears win over the Packers on Saturday night, I wanted to take a little extra time to unpack everything and let the NFL Sunday play out how it was going to.
Now that it has, thanks to heroics from Caleb Williams and company, the Chicago Bears are officially going to the playoffs ! Let’s react to Saturday’s big win.

With the Bears having already handled business on Saturday, I started watching “Severance” at the suggestion of a new friend. The early returns have me intrigued, even if I realized quickly that it might not be the best show for me to watch on an eerily quiet night in the neighborhood because of its mind-bending plot. Anyway, I’m always open to new show suggestions. Bonus points if they’re funny and I can watch as background noise.
Let’s start this BN Bears Bullets with a celebration me...

So, after all that silence, Munetaka Murakami winds up getting just two years and $34 million total from the Chicago White Sox. Oof. The writing was really on the wall about the size of the contract when the puff piece about Murakami maybe-being-the-next-Kyle-Schwarber came out. That was a tell that the previously-projected seven-...

There are still some things to sort out over the final two weeks of the season, but two things are for sure when it comes to the NFC North: The Minnesota Vikings will be watching the playoffs from home, and they’ll be watching at least one of their rivals in the postseason — the Chicago Bears. Chicago’s victory over Green Bay, paired with Detroit’s loss to Pittsburgh, allowed the Bears to become the first team in the division to clinch a playoff berth.
While the Packers and Lions are math...

Do you believe in miracles? The Detroit Lions need one for the rest of the season. The Green Bay Packers could have clinched a playoff spot in Week 16 on their first step toward a Super Bowl win. It was a pretty simple route, too. If the Packers won on Saturday, the Detroit Lions have to lose on Sunday and Green Bay is postseason bound. Green Bat lost, though, so it […]

The Chicago Bears haven’t seen Soldier Field that electric since the 2019 season opener against the Green Bay Packers. And ironically, much like the 2019 game (also against the Packers), the Bears were unable to score touchdowns through three quarters (and most of the fourth). But unlike that game six years ago, there was a […]

It also helped put Williams in elite company. Chicago’s QB1 became the first quarterback to earn a perfect grade with the toss.
