Today in NBA Trade Rumors! Lauri Markkanen trade rumor? Indeed! If there is one thing that’s clear this last offseason, it’s that the Detroit Pistons want Lauri Markkanen. We’ve seen what a potential trade could look like, something like Jaden Ivey, Ron Holland, and Tobias Harris plus picks, for Markkanen. What’s clear is that this […]

One of my two favorite holidays is four days away. For the past four months I’ve lived with a new gastrointestinal reality, one that strictly restricts the variety and volume of foods I can enjoy in my middle age. I don’t wanna think about that. I’d rather think about the many excellent questions raised by […]

The Atlanta Hawks were in San Antonio on Thursday night to face the Spurs. It’s been quite a week for the Toronto Raptors. They have won their last five games in a row, completed a pair of gritty, close wins, and are now second in the Eastern Conference. They only trail the Detroit Pistons, who are on an 11-game heater and sit three games above Toronto in the top […]

Enough evidence has mounted and it is damning — the Sixers are not Cup risers. Philadelphia fell to the Detroit Pistons 114-105 in their second game of NBA Cup action Friday night. No, Paul George will not make his season debut in Detroit Friday and Joel Embiid’s status is murky at best, but it looks like there’s a chance two-way forward Dominick Barlow could return to the lineup. Ah, the bad old days.
Last night’s ugly 124-113 loss to the Detroit Pistons felt a lot like the Chicago Bulls of the past few years. Handed an opportunity to snap a losing streak against a heavily depleted opponent, they played easily their worst game of the 2025-26 season. After narrowly taking down the San Antonio Spurs with the same lineup, they played down to the makeshift Pistons rotation and faced a double-digit deficit for essentially the entire game.

Another team where they hate their own team, including their stars. Maybe, especially their stars. I like that they give some love to Payton Pritchard. Calling the Celtics follicly challenged is hilarious. It always amazes me how many fans hate their coach. I cracked up at the coping mechanisms like holding their breath to get low oxygen to their brain and making the Pistons uniforms darker blue to pretend they were the Grizzlies. My favorites are in b...

While it feels hard to call this a trap game with the Chicago Bulls down their two top backcourt players, it sure felt like it in the first quarter. Cade Cunningham and Jalen Duren were both ruled out shortly before tip-off, joining a long list of Pistons who were stuck in street clothes. This meant increased playing time for a handful of motivated youngsters and rotation players. And they took full advantage.
Duncan Robinson came out firing. Taking over the primary scoring role, he start...

The Chicago Bulls will be without their starting point guard for the second straight game.
With a little over an hour before game time, the team downgraded Josh Giddey to OUT with an ankle sprain. He first suffered the injury in the Bulls’ meeting with the Cleveland Cavaliers. While he was able to return to the game and finish things out, the team proceeded to sit him out for Monday’s loss against the San Antonio Spurs.
The Bulls were able to keep things tight in Giddey’s absence, bu...
