Sam Alladryce’s first match ends in defeat... Leeds United could not stop the rot at the Etihad in Sam Allardyce’s first game in charge, as Gungogan’s double was enough for the champions-elect.
It took 20 minutes for City to break the deadlock, as the City captain waited patiently on the edge of the box while Mahrez opened up room to cut the ball back to him. Once the ball arrived, Gundogan...

A result that does nothing for either side... Leeds United were unable to hang on to beat relegation rivals, Leicester City as the two sides shared the points at Elland Road.
The visitors thought they’d taken the lead after 6 minutes when Tielemans fired a fierce strike from the edge of the box off the underside of the crossbar and into the top left corner. Thankfully for Leeds, Soumare ...

A game of soccer was played in Portland. Not sure if anyone had any fun. The Portland Timbers drew with the Los Angeles Galaxy 0-0 in a sunny and chilly afternoon at Providence Park. Two more Timbers players went down with injury, as both Marvin Loria and David Bingham had to exit the game with what appeared to be hamstring injuries. Portland kept their first clean sheet since opening weekend, and also collected their first point since that first game.

Another fairly disappointing draw for the Galaxy, after another dominant performance Kicking off Saturday’s slate of MLS action, LA Galaxy were on the road against Portland Timbers. While both sides came into this one in desperate need of three points, the Galaxy came into Saturday looking for their first win of the season. Two teams who have stumbled out of the gates meet as Portland hosts LA. After a five goal shelling suffered in Georgia, the Portland Timbers (1-3-0) will have to have a short memory and put that loss behind them as they welcome the Los Angeles Galaxy (0-1-2) to Providence in a big early season Western Conference clash.
Storylines so far
So, uh, yeah, last Saturday wasn’t great. Portland looked disorganized and unmotivated as the goals kept pouring in in Atl...

Changes are coming, but we aren’t disappearing. LAG Confidential launched in 2011, which was perfect timing for a run of three LA Galaxy MLS Cup wins in the span of four seasons. Looks like the move before the move. The LA Galaxy announced on Tuesday they have acquired an international roster slot for the 2023 MLS season from the Seattle Sounders , in exchange for $75,000 in 2023 general allocation money and $75,000 in 2024 general allocation money.
It would appear the move is likely to be a “table-setting” move ahead of another international addition in the coming days, with the Galaxy linked to Argentine defender Julian Aude over the...
