Elly De La Cruz is on đŸ”„đŸ”„đŸ”„

Elly De La Cruz is scorching the baseball for the Cincinnati Reds in early September 2026. The 24-year-old shortstop has exploded out of a midseason lull, posting a .458 average (11-for-24) with three home runs and seven RBI over his last seven games. The surge includes a three-game homer binge. On September 5 he went 2-for-4 with a solo shot against Milwaukee. The next night he mashed a two-run homer and added a two-run double for four RBI in a 12-8 win. Then on September 7 at Dodger Stadium ...

Brewers’ Pat Murphy pinpoints ‘most impressive’ part of win vs. Cubs

The Milwaukee Brewers came alive towards the end of their Monday afternoon contest against the Chicago Cubs. After struggling on offense for most of the game, they kept at it and scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning on their way to taking a 4-3 victory over their division rival. With this [

32-year-old journeyman throws first individual perfect game in Minors since 2017

Thomas Pannone accomplished something on Monday that hadn’t been done in nearly a decade in the Minor Leagues: he threw a perfect game. The 32-year-old left-hander, whom the Brewers signed in 2024, blanked Durham in Triple-A Nashville’s 3-0 victory at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Pannone struck out eight in the perfecto, needing just 94 pitches (61 of which were strikes) in the effort. The perfect game is the first by a single pitcher in the Minors since 2017, when the feat was accomplished twi...

Guardians No. 9 prospect makes Team of the Week

It’s only fitting that 2026’s final edition of the Prospect Team of the Week would feature Andrew Fischer. Throughout the Minor League campaign, the Brewers’ No. 5 prospect has launched roundtripper after roundtripper, and he’s pulled away with the Minor League lead — and a chance for 50 homers. Fischer has made the Prospect Team of the Week in Weeks 5, 10, 13, 20 and now 21, which puts him in elite company. In 11 seasons of these honors, only Yordan Alvarez (2019) and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (2...

Brewers Place Grant Anderson On 15-Day Injured List

Prior to today’s 4-3 win over the Cubs, the Brewers placed right-hander Grant Anderson on the 15-day injured list due to right biceps inflammation.  Right-hander Brandon Sproat was called up from Triple-A Nashville in the corresponding move. Since Anderson was acquired from the Rangers during the 2024-25 offseason, the righty has been a workhorse in [

Chicago Cubs Score and Recap (9/7/26): Brewers 4, Cubs 3 – Late Lead Slips Away

The Cubs traveled to American Family Field for a Labor Day matinee against the first-place Brewers not long after splitting four games at Wrigley. The road team held a one-run lead late in the game, but they could not finish the job and went down to defeat. Starting pitcher Matthew Boyd and his counterpart Robert

Key takeaways: Brewers 4, Cubs 3

MILWAUKEE — The Brewers have seen Cubs center fielder Pete Crow-Armstrong more than most teams over the past few years and have a strong track record so far for minimizing his impact in the batter’s box. “We’re lucky,” Brewers manager Pat Murphy said. Sammy Sosa Bobblehead Giveaway is Sept. 13! In the Cubs’ 4-3 loss to the Brewers on Monday afternoon, Crow-Armstrong notched two hits, including his 41st homer of the year, stole two bases and scored two runs in the opener of a three-game set at ...

Chourio’s late heroics lead Brewers over Cubs in Labor Day thriller

Box Score For most of the game, things had largely trended the Cubs’ way. They got a home run from their No. 9 hitter, Pedro Ramírez, in the fifth inning off Robert Gasser, and chased him from the game two batters later. Another short start, another long stretch for the Brewers bullpen. Meanwhile, Matthew Boyd [

Chourio’s bat (and glove) come up clutch to help Crew nab season series vs. Cubs

MILWAUKEE — The National League Central isn’t settled just yet, but the Brewers took two big steps in that direction with baseball’s version of a two-for-one Labor Day sale. Lock in your tickets for Brewers-Cubs from Monday through Wednesday! Jackson Chourio punched a go-ahead, two-run single through a drawn-in infield in the eighth inning and made a sliding catch in the ninth to finish a wild, 4-3 win over the Cubs on Monday at sold-out American Family Field, where a holiday crowd of 42,368 w...

There’s a player in Major League Baseball who is having one of the best second-half surges in the league, and you probably haven’t been hearing about him. That player is Joey Ortiz of the Milwaukee Brewers. Ortiz has been one of the most productive players, not just on the Brewers, but in the majors over the past few months. That has not always been the case for the young infielder. Background Ortiz, a shortstop by trade, has been in the more The post Joey Ortiz: The Breakout You May Not Hav...

Pat Murphy’s 2-word truth bomb on Brewers’ surprising success vs. Pete Crow-Armstrong

The Milwaukee Brewers begin a three-game series against the Chicago Cubs on Monday. It should be a fun matchup, as both teams are at the top of the NL Central standings. Why Jake Bauers isn’t playing in first game of big Brewers-Cubs series

Year in and year out, the Milwaukee Brewers are one of the most unheralded teams in MLB. They lack big-name superstars, but the team is great at diagnosing talent and developing it, and they tend to win a lot of games because of that. Right now, the Brewers lead all of baseball with 88 wins. [

Chicago Cubs Lineup (9/7/26): Boyd Battles Brewers, Bats Brave Bob’s Breaking Balls

In the spirit of the holiday, I’m not going to labor much on today’s preview that only two or three people will read. I will, however, share a statistical note from MLB.com’s Mike Petriello that illustrates just how much the game has changed over the last several decades. I mean, we all understand that inherently,
