After two years of disappointing early postseason exits without even one win to show for it, the 2025 season was supposed to be one in which the Orioles made their way back to the playoffs and finally advanced. It never worked out that way. All manner of things went wrong with the team over the […]
Shortly after being hired as the head coach of the New England Patriots, Mike Vrabel stood in front of his team during their first full squad meeting with one goal in mind. “Vrabes said we’re gonna go win the division,” cornerback Christian Gonzalez said. Months later, as the Patriots take the field on Sunday, they […]
The Winter meetings came to a close Wednesday in Orlando, Florida. For many fans expecting big moves to improve their teams, especially A’s fans, the ending is quite unsatisfying. Fans hoping for a high draft pick may have been disappointed that the A’s fell in the draft to the eight slot instead of rising toward […]

It wasn’t all that long ago that a Packers team with Super Bowl aspirations faced a Denver Broncos team with an elite defense. The year was 2015. Despite the preseason loss of Jordy Nelson, the Packers opened the season with a sprint to a 6-0 start, putting up at least 27 points in four of […]
The Winter Meetings have concluded with the Royals yet to address their glaring outfield needs. The free agent market became thinner when former Royals outfielder Mike Yastrzemski signed a two-year deal with the Braves this week. With Harrison Bader looking for a three-year deal, the free agent market isn’t looking like a promising avenue to […]

Arsenal midfield maestro Declan Rice is basically a 50/50 proposition for Saturday night’s first versus worst Premier League fixture. Rice, one of the Gunners’ many star men, has an unspecified illness, but according to manager Mikel Arteta, it doesn’t sound very serious. “I think that he needed more of a bed than sunshine because he […]

As quickly as No. 21 Ohio State women’s basketball’s Big Ten season arrived, it was gone. The randomly placed first weekend of the conference season is behind the Buckeyes. So, it is back to nonconference warmup matchups, at least on paper. It begins Thursday against the Northern Kentucky Norse of the Horizon League. What the […]
Coming out of their bye, the San Francisco 49ers are officially in the stretch run and race for the NFC West and even the number one overall seed in the NFC. The 49ers’ path has changed, Philip Rivers, anyone? The goal remains the same. Win out and see where the chips land. The final four […]
MLB Winter Meetings were intriguing for baseball fans, but left fans of the San Diego Padres wanting more. There was some clarity about the bullpen and payroll, but how general manager A.J. Preller is going to address all the needs on the San Diego roster remains in question. It does seem that trades will be […]

The Chicago Bears Twitter Civil War was like nothing we had ever seen in sports social media. Fans of teams around the league would sit back with their popcorn GIFs and watch the Bears fan base tear themselves apart over one question: Should the Bears go with Justin Fields or Caleb Williams at quarterback? This […]

The Blackhawks’ win over the Rangers on Wednesday night checked almost every box that you would want from the team. Connor Bedard scored a highlight-reel goal. Tyler Bertuzzi deposited loose change again. Spencer Knight was spectacular in net and got a shutout. The Blackhawks were able to beat Igor Shesterkin three times. It was the right bounce-back effort that you hoped to see.
When I say almost every box, that’s because Frank Nazar still can’t buy a goal.
He had a few chances. One...
The reclamation quest begins! We know the Chicago Cubs will make a ton of moves like this throughout the offseason (and into the regular season), and we know it’s important that at least SOME of them hit. It’s a volume approach, and it starts now.
That is to say, the Cubs have signed former Mariners reliever Collin Snider to a minor league deal, and they’ll try to get him cooking again in Spring Training.
Throwback to Snider's transformation between the 2023 and 2024 seasons. 👀 pic.t...
It’s all about finding an edge. That’s been the Rockets’ modus operandi for a long time. There is seemingly an organizational impetus to identify a statistical area and lean (almost) absurdly hard into it. Teams are shooting more threes? Cool. We’re going to shoot way more threes. We’re going to shoot so many threes that […]

His position group mate, Riccardo Calafiori, who is currently suspended domestically, but eligible for UEFA competition, has also been battling an injury issue of some sort. “They both had issues from the weekend – two really […]

Love it, like it, dislike it, or hate it, the Mike Yastrzemski signing is done. The Braves are now committed to a fourth outfielder for multiple years, and will potentially end up exercising his club option for 2028 given the size of the buyout ($4 million) relative to the salary ($7 million). While there’s infinite […]
