UConn Finishes 56th in Final 2025-26 Learfield Directors' Cup Standings, Best Finish Since 2010-11
STORRS, Conn. – UConn closed the 2025-26 athletic year with its best finish in the Learfield Directors' Cup standings since 2010-11, placing 56th nationally with 459.00 points in the final rankings released Thursday by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics.
UConn Basketball Programs to Compete in Hall of Fame Series Exhibition
The UConn men's and women's basketball teams will take part in the Hall of Fame Series Exhibition at Mohegan Sun Arena for the second-straight season jointly and third overall. Both squads will face Syracuse to open their preseason slates, with the women's game set for Monday, Oct. 12 and the men's matchup on Tuesday, Oct. 13.

STORRS, Conn. — UConn Volleyball head coach Ellen Herman-Kimball has announced the addition of Maxwell Dunn as assistant coach, pending the successful completion of the university's employee onboarding process. Dunn comes to Storrs after two seasons at Stephen F. Austin State University, where he helped build one of the more successful stretches in Ladyjacks volleyball history.
Reed Jr. and Karaban Selected In First Round Of 2026 NBA Draft
BROOKLYN – UConn men's basketball alums Tarris Reed Jr. and Alex Karaban were selected in the First Round of the 2026 NBA Draft on Tuesday (June 23) night at the Barclays Center. Reed Jr. was the 26th overall pick and will head to the San Antonio Spurs by way of a trade with the Denver Nuggets, before Karaban went to the Sacramento Kings via the Cleveland Cavaliers with the 29th overall pick.
