Blackhawks to open 2026-27 season in Vegas on Sept. 29
Two dates for the upcoming Blackhawks season were confirmed on Wednesday morning as part of a league-wide release. Chicago will open the season out west on Tuesday, Sept. 29 against the Vegas Golden Knights for a 9:30 p.m. puck drop, a game which will be nationally broadcast on ESPN as part of the league’s opening night. What perception becomes reality?
It’s been hard to shake the notion that the opening 20 games or so of this approaching season are going to carry a heavier weight than just about any chunk of Blackhawks games from this decade.
