Louisville basketball’s non-conference schedule is shaping up to be ridiculous
News broke Thursday afternoon that Louisville and Michigan had agreed to a two-year deal that will see the Cardinals and Wolverines square off at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit on Dec. 5, and then in Indianapolis at some point during the 2027-28 season. The game this season was possible because of a canceled contest between […]

CAMERON WHITE #38 Height: 6’1” Weight: 235lb Position: LB Class: RS Freshman Hometown: Tampa, FL Summary: Not that long ago there was a recruit turning heads around the Louisville fanbase who chose the Cards over some high profile programs across the country, and came in looking to make a quick impact in the middle of […]
Roundball Rewind: ‘80 Champs vs. ‘86 Champs
This is how a Cardinals hoopaholic passes the time when there’s no current games to watch. With another in a series in which I watch a video replay then file a GameCap of a significant U of L battle from the past as if it took place yesterday. Even those who know the game better […]

Pat Kelsey takes responsibility for lack of Bahamas broadcast
The first real controversy of the 2026-27 U of L athletics season hit about a month before a Cardinal team played a contest that counted. On Tuesday, the Louisville men’s basketball team played an exhibition game in the Bahamas that fans had no ability to watch or listen to. I wasn’t happy about it, you […]
Rick Pitino reportedly targeting Peyton Siva for St. John’s assistant gig
Fresh off a successful blowout exhibition victory in The Bahamas, there appears to be at least a little bit of uncertainty surrounding a Louisville legend and current member of the Cardinal coaching staff. According to Adam Zagoria, Rick Pitino is targeting his former star point guard and current U of L assistant Peyton Siva to […]
Louisville football picked third in preseason ACC poll
The ACC’s media has picked the Louisville football team to finish third in the league this fall. It’s the highest preseason conference ranking for the Cardinals since 2017. Louisville received four first-place votes and 2,569 overall points, placing them behind only Miami and SMU. Here’s the complete poll:

HAYDEN TRAVELSTEAD #39 Height: 6’0” Weight: 210lb Position: LS Class: RS Junior Hometown: Acworth, GA Summary: When someone says “Travelstead” you think Louisville football special teams. The specialist family sent Brock through the program a few years ago kicking balls like a madman (he was highlighted as the cover photo yesterday), and for a brief […]
Hoopaholic’s Hearsay: Live Report from the Bahamas
Lets’s call him INTREPID. My guy in the gym in the Bahamas. That was the code name for the head of British Intelligence in the Caribbean during WWII. All observations are obviously his, phoned in to your intrepid chronicler within minutes of the final buzzer of U of L’s 101-52 thrashing of “Bahamas.” “The Bahamian […]

ERIC HAZZARD #40 Height: 6’3” Weight: 255lb Position: DL Class: RS Freshman Hometown: Franklin, TN Summary: If there is anywhere incoming freshman can come in and target early playing time, its obviously on special teams, but more specifically for an edge like Hazzard, it’s in the return game where you can lay down some blocks […]

CALEB MATELAU #41 Height: 6’1” Weight: 225lb Position: LB Class: RS Freshman Hometown: Bradenton, FL Summary: When you see the tat and the hair you may think Caleb “Maui” instead of “Matelau” and it doesn’t do harm to the rumor when we see him shape-shift between linebacker and his special teams role. Caleb is gearing […]
Hoopaholic’s Gazette: Caribbean TripTik & LeBron NIL Line
Not So Breaking News: The latest (and oldest) on the upcoming Cards’ blink-and-you’ll-miss-it Bahamian adventure. No TV. No streaming. No radio. No second game. No OEjr. No KK. TRENT CARTER #43 Height: 6’3” Weight: 225lb Position: LB Class: RS Sophomore Hometown: Jacksonville, FL Summary: Like most newcomers who play in the middle of the defense, this interior linebacker, Mr. Carter, joined the Cards a few years back and has started to cut teeth and head hunt on special teams. New Mysteries of the Bahamas
As we know, the Bahamas presents some mysteries of consequence. Bermuda Triangle, of course. Who knows how many boats Elvis really needs There’s the submerged Bimini Road. Thought by many to have been a byway to Atlantis. Where we know, thanks to Donovan, knowing her fate, the soon to be lost antediluvian civilization launched ships […]
The Mikel Brown Back Situation is your 2025-26 LCPT Champion
After the tightest championship vote in the long and storied history of the Least Cool Person Tournament, we have our newest champion of uncool. By the narrowest of margins, 51%-49%, the Mikel Brown Back Situation edged out Brian Mandel to bring home this year’s title. It brought confusion, it brought angst, it brought a disappointing […]

TRAVIS EGAN #44 Height: 6’2” Weight: 220lb Position: TE/QB Class: RS Junior Hometown: Mount Washington, KY Summary: Without question the majority of the Louisville football roster has fairly defined roles and skillsets, with not only position driven goals and focus, but also specific focus even within that position. Enter Travis Egan. The high school superstar […]

Cardinals History By The Numbers In 2023 the ghost of Christmas past blessed the Cards with one Samuel Hartman brining another Top 10 football team into Cardinal Stadium, previously captaining Wake Forest and now leading #10 Notre Dame. He would again walk out a loser. The first year of Jeff Brohm started out 5-0 and […]
Seedy K’s Ville Report: La Familia III
For reasons soon to be explained, this can’t be called a GameCap. I had every intention of covering it normally. Running box score on the MacBook. Notepad in hand. Then, at 4:52, I got a call from my ex-, with whom I’m better friends than ever. Even when we were together. It was granddaughter — […]
2025-26 LCPT Championship: The Mikel Brown Back Situation vs. Brian Mandel
For all the uncoolest of marbles. THE MIKEL BROWN BACK SITUATION HOW THEY GOT HERE: —Defeated Georgia Football (83%-17%) in the quarterfinals.—Defeated NCAA Tournament Expansion (78%-22%) in the semifinals RAP SHEET: —Lots of nominations for Mikel’s dad, his back, the injury, etc., so the fair thing (I think) to do here is to lump them […]

Cardinals History By The Numbers While the unofficial rules of the “history by the numbers” posts (that I just made up on my own accord years ago) clearly state that I should avoid recognizing current players in these posts, I’ve already broken my rule this year with Nick Keller, so if we’re swimming in the […]
