The Phillies traded for Derek Hill on June 11th. Since then, the man has been playing the best baseball of his life. Let’s take a look at the numbers. In 51 games with the White Sox this season, Hill posted a slash line of .213/.284/.375 with a .659 OPS. Before the season, he had career […]

The White Sox hadn’t held the first overall pick in nearly 40 years, and when they selected Harold Baines at No. 1 back in 1977, he didn’t even have representation until Roland Hemond called him the night before. So it’s fair to call the 2026 draft the most anticipated one in White Sox history. And…

Shane Smith returned to Charlotte after completing his rehab stint at Winston-Salem, which means that he also returned to pitching in a Statcast ballpark. The improved strike-throwing he’d shown in his last start with the Dash carried over to Sunday with the Knights, and with his typical velocity. He maintained 95-96 mph over the course…

We are currently in search of a new polling application to use with our updates, so please bear with our more naked feature today. Charlotte Knights 12, Nashville Sounds 4Completely redeeming themselves from Saturday, the Knights (49-44) popped off for 15 hits and blew out the Sounds (53-40), 12-4, splitting the series with three wins […]
It's been a rough go of late for New York Mets' starter Freddy Peralta. He was brought in this season to be the team's new ace, but a 6.96 ERA over his last seven starts has left him with a 4.66 ERA overall, and a big disappointment in his contract year. He was expecting a huge payday in free agency this winter, and declined the Mets' early-season extension offers. Now, he'll likely find himself in another uniform in three weeks, as the trade deadline hits on Aug. 3rd. He does have enoug...
PHILADELPHIA -- Caleb Bonemer has always been a good interview , but especially for this site , as he's always willing to dive into the weeds discussing his swing.
But that might be the wrong way to describe it. It's more like we're diving into the weeds of his swing. Bonemer simply lives there, even as he's standing at his locker before the MLB Futures Game, donning an All-Star jersey and surrounded by the most media members he's ever seen in his life.

The A’s couldn’t manage to escape the South Side with a win, getting swept by the White Sox 9-1 to wrap up the first half. Righty J.T. Ginn was off today. After the A’s gave him a quick lead in the first he coughed that right back, allowing six runs in the first inning to […]
The 2026 MLB Draft kicked off earlier today, as the Chicago White Sox took UCLA shortstop Roch Cholowsky with the No. 1 overall pick. Milwaukee took shortstop Trey Ebel — the brother of Brewers’ 2025 No. 32 overall pick Brady Ebel — with their first pick at No. 25. For our full draft preview from […]
The first half is officially in the books, and the Chicago White Sox are in first place. Sam Antonacci and Braden Montgomery homered, Miguel Vargas and Kyle Teel had multi-hit performances, and Noah Schultz threw five mostly stress-free innings as the Good Guys picked up their 50th win of the season, 9-1 over the Sacramento […]
In all my time at South Side Sox, this is the sort of draft I’ve been waiting to cover for the White Sox, one where the club just kept digging up quality picks even late in the draft, as opposed to going completely off of the MLB board by, like, the fourth round. The South […]
Noah Schultz opened the game by giving up a single, erasing it with a double play, and then giving up a solo shot to Shea Langeliers before he could record the third out.
Still, Schultz didn't walk anybody, and he threw 13 of his 16 pitches for strikes. If a guy who came into the game with 29 walks in 48 major league innings wanted positive reinforcement for staying in the strike zone, the rest of the game rewarded him for it.

Just like that, the White Sox may have taken their position in the catbird seat of the draft (top pick overall, dealing for an extra sandwich pick after the first round) and put an outrageous amount of distance between themselves and the runner-up, striking again with a massive talent nab in the 12th round, nabbing […]
White Sox outfielder Tristan Peters has been named an AL All-Star replacement for Nick Kurtz, giving Chicago three representatives. The rookie hit for the cycle the night before his selection.

Surprise, surprise, the White Sox have struck some gold in the 11th round, nabbing No. 162 MLB prospect Kyle Casteel of Butler (Pa.) H.S. with the No. 315 pick in the 2026 MLB draft. Particularly given the timing, coming after an hour break in the draft and following three straight college value picks. The White […]
The White Sox selected Landon Thome, the son of Hall of Famer Jim Thome, with the No. 34 overall pick in the 2026 MLB Draft. The high school shortstop from Nazareth Academy joins No. 1 pick Roch Cholowsky.

With a victory, the White Sox will enter the All-Star break in first place in their division, for the first time since 2021. They could accomplish that without a victory too, but it would require help from the Marlins against the Guardians, and a win would also give the Sox their sixth sweep of the season.
It will surprise no one present here that all five of their prior sweeps came at home as well.

For all of the surprises we’ve gotten out of a wonderful first half of play from the 2026 White Sox, it feels perhaps a little fitting that they’ll head into the break by addressing (or at least attempting to address) one of the premier uncertainties that will have a heavy hand and determining whether we […]
It was a back-to-back, strong-armed outfielders move from the White Sox in the seventh round, nabbing Clay Burdette from Xavier University with the No. 195 pick in the 2026 MLB draft. Just three years ago, Burdette was regarded as one of the three best shortstops in Ohio, but blossomed as a right fielder after a […]
The White Sox dipped back in to the high school bats arena in the sixth round, selecting 2026 New Jersey Player of the Year Alex Weingartner out of St. Augustine Prep (N.J.) H.S. with the No. 166 pick in the 2026 MLB draft. Weingartner was a pitcher who was hitting 95-96 mph on the mound […]
The Chicago White Sox selected Roch Cholowsky, shortstop out of UCLA, with the first overall pick in Saturday's 2026 MLB Draft and with that event over, all eyes turn to the prospects who will make up next year's class.
The Chicago White Sox selected UCLA shortstop Roch Cholowsky with the No. 1 overall pick of the 2026 Major League Baseball Draft on Saturday in Philadelphia. Cholowsky has been an enormously praised prospect for a few years and was viewed as the clear favorite to be the top pick of the 2026 MLB Draft before…
Imperfect but promising arms continue as the theme for the White Sox in the 2026 draft, as Cal Scolari is the next White Sox pick, as the 137th selection. Due to significant injury history — TJS in high school, missing his senior year and freshman year in college, and has pitched in just one college […]
